Class VI Cytotoxicity testing. This makes them suitable for food, beverage, pharmaceutical, dairy, and biotech processing applications.

The VITON/FKM and BUNA-N screen gaskets both support an operating temperature range of -40°F to +250°F, making them suitable for a wide variety of industrial and sanitary processing conditions. For PTFE gaskets, consult application-specific guidance, as PTFE is subject to cold flow considerations at elevated pressure and temperature.

All three screen gasket variants use a 316L Stainless Steel mesh screen with a 20-micron filtration rating. The 316L grade provides excellent corrosion resistance for sanitary environments. The 20-micron rating effectively captures particulates in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical inline filtration pipelines using standard Tri Clamp connections.

No. PTFE/Teflon screen gaskets are not recommended for use with bolted clamps. Additionally, PSI service ratings for sanitary clamps do not apply to connections 1" and above when using PTFE gaskets, due to the risk of cold flow under pressure. This restriction does not apply to fractional sizes (1/2" and 3/4").
