Yes. All Viton/FKM and PTFE gaskets offered by Artesian Systems comply with FDA 21CFR177.2600 and 21CFR177.1550, are USDA approved, and meet 3-A Sanitary Standards. Many products have also passed U.S.P. Class VI Cytotoxicity testing, confirming their suitability for pharmaceutical and bioprocessing environments.

Screen gaskets in both Viton/FKM and PTFE are available in sizes from 1.5" up to 6". Solid envelope and unitized PTFE x EPDM gaskets are available in larger sizes, ranging from 1.5" up to 12", accommodating a broad range of tri clamp sanitary pipeline configurations.

Artesian Systems offers tri clamp screen gaskets in 5 micron, 20 micron, and 100 micron filtration ratings. The 5-micron option provides the finest particle removal and is available in Viton/FKM. All screen gaskets use a 316L stainless steel mesh insert within a sanitary gasket body.

No. PTFE-based gaskets, including envelope and unitized PTFE x EPDM designs, are not recommended for use with bolted clamp assemblies. PTFE's susceptibility to cold flow under concentrated bolt load can compromise the seal. These gaskets are designed specifically for standard sanitary tri clamp connections.

PTFE x EPDM envelope and unitized gaskets have a shelf life of 10 years from the cure date. They should be stored in original packaging in a clean, dry environment between 65°F and 85°F, away from direct sunlight, and at least 6 feet from electric motors to prevent ozone degradation of the EPDM core.

Viton/FKM tri clamp gaskets from Artesian Systems operate reliably across a temperature range of -40°F to +250°F. This wide range makes them suitable for demanding process environments in chemical, pharmaceutical, dairy, and food and beverage applications where temperature fluctuations are common.
