Microplastics Filtration Equipment & Sampling Screens

Artesian Systems offers tri clamp screen gaskets in 5, 20, and 100 micron ratings. The 5-micron option provides the finest filtration for removing small particulates and microplastics, while 100 micron suits coarser straining applications. All screens are manufactured from 316L stainless steel for durability and corrosion resistance.

Three gasket materials are available: BUNA-N (Nitrile) for petroleum derivatives, glycols, and mild chemicals; VITON/FKM for aggressive chemical environments including alcohols, ethers, fats, and oils; and PTFE/Teflon for maximum chemical resistance in corrosive or high-purity applications. All operate from -40°F to +250°F and carry FDA, USDA, and 3-A approvals.

Yes. All tri clamp screen gaskets from Artesian Systems comply with FDA 21CFR177.2600 and 21CFR177.1550, are approved by 3-A Sanitary Standards and USDA, and have passed U.S.P. Class VI Cytotoxicity testing. This makes them suitable for food processing, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, and biopharmaceutical fluid handling applications.

Screen gaskets are available in standard tri clamp sizes including 1.5", 2", 2.5", 3", 4", and 6" (size availability varies slightly by gasket material and micron rating). This range accommodates most sanitary pipeline configurations across food, beverage, pharmaceutical, dairy, and chemical processing facilities.

Yes. For PTFE/Teflon screen gaskets, PSI service ratings for sanitary clamps do not apply to connections 1" and above due to PTFE's cold flow potential under pressure. These gaskets are also not recommended for use with bolted clamps. Fractional sizes (1/2" and 3/4") are exempt due to their recessed, fully contained design.

Yes. All tri clamp screen gaskets meet 3-A Sanitary Standards and USDA approval, making them fully suitable for dairy processing and brewing applications. The standard tri clamp design allows quick, tool-friendly installation and removal for cleaning and inspection, which is critical for CIP (clean-in-place) sanitary pipeline systems common in dairy and brewing facilities.
