It is important to note that the standard 1550 PSI service rating for sanitary clamps does NOT apply to connections 1" and above when using any PTFE gasket, due to the cold flow potential of PTFE. These PTFE/EPDM Envelope Gaskets have a shelf life of 10 years from the cure date. They should be stored in original packaging in a clean, dry warehouse environment, away from direct sunlight, and kept at least 6 feet away from electric motors. Recommended storage temperature is between 65°F and 85°F.
