Viton/FKM is widely regarded as the best gasket material for petrol and petroleum-based fluids. It resists swelling, degradation, and permeation when exposed to fuels, oils, and hydrocarbons. Compared to EPDM or silicone, Viton provides superior chemical resistance for petroleum service, especially in inline filtration and sanitary tri clamp pipeline systems.

Artesian Systems offers Viton/FKM tri clamp screen gaskets in three filtration ratings: 5 micron, 20 micron, and 100 micron. The 5-micron option is ideal for fine filtration in pharmaceutical or biotech processes, while the 100-micron is suited for coarser pre-filtration in petroleum and chemical applications.
