The 5-micron option provides the finest filtration for pharmaceutical and biotech applications, while 20 and 100 micron ratings suit food, beverage, dairy, and industrial processes requiring coarser inline straining.

Yes. All tri clamp screen gaskets comply with FDA 21CFR177.2600 and 21CFR177.1550, are approved by 3-A Sanitary Standards, and carry USDA approval. Every gasket material has also passed U.S.P. Class VI Cytotoxicity testing, confirming biocompatibility for pharmaceutical, bioprocessing, and food-contact applications.

Screen gaskets are available in sizes ranging from 1.5" up to 6", including 2", 2.5", 3", and 4" depending on the gasket material and micron rating selected. This range accommodates standard tri clamp sanitary piping systems across food, dairy, pharmaceutical, and chemical processing plants.

BUNA-N and VITON/FKM screen gaskets both support an operating temperature range of -40°F to +250°F. PTFE gaskets offer similarly broad thermal performance. This wide range makes the gaskets suitable for CIP (clean-in-place) hot water cycles and cold process fluids common in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

PTFE gaskets require a pressure rating consideration: for connections 1" and above, PSI service ratings for standard sanitary clamps do not apply due to PTFE cold flow potential. However, 1/2" and 3/4" fractional sizes feature a recessed, fully contained design that is exempt from this restriction. Bolted clamps are not recommended with PTFE gaskets.
