Tri clamp screen gaskets are available in 5 micron, 20 micron, and 100 micron filtration ratings. The 5-micron rating provides the finest particle removal for pharmaceutical or precision hemp oil filtration. The 20-micron option balances flow rate with effective particulate capture. The 100-micron rating is ideal for coarse straining and pre-filtration applications.

Yes. All tri clamp screen gaskets offered by Artesian Systems comply with FDA 21CFR177.2600 and FDA 21CFR177.1550, are approved under 3-A Sanitary Standards, hold USDA approval, and have passed U.S.P. Class VI Cytotoxicity testing. These certifications make them suitable for food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and hemp oil processing applications.

Screen gaskets are available in tri clamp sizes of 1.5", 2", 2.5", 3", 4", and 6" depending on the gasket material and micron rating selected. VITON/FKM models are available in 1.5", 2", 3", 4", and 6". BUNA-N and PTFE models include the additional 2.5" size. This range accommodates most standard sanitary piping configurations.

All BUNA-N and VITON/FKM tri clamp screen gaskets are rated for an operating temperature range of -40°F to +250°F, making them suitable for cryogenic, ambient, and elevated-temperature process conditions. PTFE gaskets share similar temperature capability but carry a PSI service rating restriction on connections 1" and above due to potential cold flow behavior under pressure.

PTFE tri clamp screen gaskets have an important pressure limitation: PSI service ratings for sanitary clamps do not apply to connections 1" and above using PTFE gaskets due to the material's cold flow potential under sustained pressure. The restriction does not apply to 1/2" and 3/4" fractional sizes, which feature a recessed, fully contained design that maintains pressure integrity.
